Dry Eye Campaign

Dry Eye Overview
Dry eye occurs when tear production is reduced or tear quality is poor, leading to irritation and visual discomfort. Common causes include aging, medications, medical conditions, hormone changes, and environmental factors.

Symptoms

  • Burning or stinging
  • Redness and irritation
  • Blurry or fluctuating vision
  • Excessive tearing
  • Light sensitivity

Diagnosis & Treatment
Eye doctors diagnose dry eye through tear testing and eye surface evaluation. Treatment may involve artificial tears, tear duct plugs, prescription drops, or managing inflammation. Omega-3 supplements may also support tear health.

Prevention Tips
Blink regularly during screen use, stay hydrated, use humidifiers, wear sunglasses outdoors, and avoid direct airflow to the eyes.

Dry eye is common and manageable with proper care.
