InfantSEE® Week Proclamation
We’re proud to share that Governor Tina Kotek has officially proclaimed October 13–17, 2025 as InfantSEE® Week in Oregon!
InfantSEE® is a nationwide public health program created by the American Optometric Association and supported by the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. Through this program, participating doctors of optometry provide a one-time, no-cost eye assessment for infants between 6–12 months old. These early exams are critical—vision development in the first year of life lays the foundation for a lifetime of healthy sight, and undetected eye problems can lead to permanent vision impairment.
This year marks 20 years of InfantSEE®, with thousands of optometrists across the country volunteering their time and expertise to give every child the best possible start.
OOPA encourages all Oregon families to take advantage of this important program and join us in celebrating InfantSEE® Week!
